The College is closely monitoring the situation related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to keep you updated as we learn more. Following Governor Wolf’s announcement on March 30, Montco’s physical campuses will be closed until further notice. All credit classes and student services will be delivered remotely for the remainder of the spring 2020 semester. To support our students and their successes, certain functions of the college will continue to operate remotely and online resources will remain available. Additionally, on-campus events for the College and the community through April 30 are canceled or postponed.

The Impact on Montco Students
In addition to the health concerns associated with this virus, many people have experienced financial hardship. Our students are no exception. Unfortunately, many students have been left unemployed, or with significantly reduced hours—making paying for college exceptionally challenging. Because classes have moved online indefinitely, they are also faced with the costs of obtaining technology and internet connection from home. In addition to technology, tuition and books are two of the main education related costs for our students.
Tuition ($191 per course)
- Full-time students taking 15 credits per semester
Tuition and Fees: $2865.00 per semester ($5730.00 for 2 semesters) - Part-time students taking 9 credits per semester
Tuition and Fees: $1719.00 per semester ($3438.00 for 2 semesters)
Books
- $650.00 per semester ($1,300.00 for 2 semesters)
Classes and technology are not the only expenses for most Montco students. Having a mix of traditional and non-traditional students, we serve learners who are also single parents, heads or households, primary caregivers to elderly family, and more. During this unprecedented time, access to funds for necessities from food to emergency services is not a guarantee for many in the Montco community.
How External Support Can Help
- Emergency funds for students facing unforeseen circumstances including short term cash flow challenges, food insecurity, temporary housing needs, illness, transportation issues, and more.
