Classes are held at Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses featuring state-of-the-art recording studios, computer labs and various mixing consoles designed to give the student experience on mixing consoles found in the types of professional studios they may work in after graduation. The Blue Bell campus hosts a new, cutting-edge, professional mixing suite with the much sought-after Solid-State Logic SSL 9000k 56 input console as well as the latest in Dolby Atmos mixing on our Genelec 7.1.4 system. The SRT courses provide hands-on exposure in all aspects of recording.

Dolby Atmos
Dolby Atmos is one of the most significant developments in surround sound technology over the past decade. As a new object-oriented audio format, Atmos gives movie directors, audio engineers, and now music artists (with Apple Music鈥檚 spatial audio) the ability to add a sense of 鈥漢eight鈥� or 鈥渆levation鈥� to their presentation of sound. Compared to traditional surround sound systems where the left, right, center, side and rear speakers are arranged around you for two dimensions of surround, Dolby Atmos height speakers add a third dimension of overhead sound to your soundstage. Now you can listen to music as if you are actually on stage. Learn Atmos mixing as well as the finest stereo mixing in the SRT Program.
Theater
The newly renovated theater provides real-world learning experiences for students. They鈥檒l be recording video as well as recording and mixing audio performances, and that鈥檚 going to make a difference when they interview for professional jobs. The theater will provide invaluable opportunities for students to engage in professional production, which is unique for a college.

- Use professional sound recording techniques and tools to record, engineer and edit music productions as well as conceive, plan, write, record and edit pieces, projects and production packages;

- Apply knowledge of guitar or piano, tonal harmony, and aural theory to a performance and through productions;
